Festival Kickoff Concert
BRUSHES WITH BROADWAY

An homage to everything beloved about theater, kick the festival off on July 12 at Brushes with Broadway, a concert headlined by Michigan native Tom Butwin and featuring special guest performers from Michigan Stage’s production of Waitress.

This year’s mainstage production is the Michigan professional premiere of Waitress. With music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles and book by Jessie Nelson, Entertainment Weekly calls Waitress the hit musical that’s “a little slice of heaven.” Join us for the grand finale of our summer season!

Talkin' Broadway
Our popular series in partnership with the Friends of the West Bloomfield Library continues! Talkin’ Broadway – a monthly play-reading and discussion group featuring performances and expertise from visiting Broadway veterans – will feature Waitress, Grease, and 1776.
